The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Orlando will open to the public on June 18.

The park's three main themed attractions will be Flight of the Hippogriff, Dragon Challenge and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Universal on Thursday revealed details about the main attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The ride will incorporate filmed action scenes that guests will move through with the use of robotic technology.

It will take guests through Hogwarts castle, and then on an experience in which they will ride above Hogwarts, encounter a dragon and the Whomping Willow and get pulled into a Quidditch match.

Hogwarts castle will feature locations from the Harry Potter films, including Dumbledore's office, the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom, the Gryffindor common room and the Room of Requirement.

Universal estimates that park guests will get through Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in one hour, including the queue.

There are 12 scenes in the attraction, which features the characters Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid, Draco Malfoy, Fred and George Weasley, Ginny Weasley and Neville Longbottom.
