Jacinta has over 18 years of hospitality industry experience in senior sales and marketing positions in Asia. Having worked in Singapore, Thailand, Dubai and Vietnam, her international outlook and knowledge of diverse cultures will be an asset in her role.
Jacinta began her career in the hospitality industry in Singapore where she rose to the position of Assistant Vice President Sales for Berjaya Hotels & Resorts’ Singapore Sales organization. In 2003, Jacinta joined the globally award winning Ascott Group, based in Singapore where she was a senior member of the corporate sales team before moving to Bangkok, Thailand in early 2006 as Director of Sales, Indochina. In this role she was overseeing the sales & marketing operations of 10 key properties in Bangkok, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Jacinta was involved in key pre-opening assignments in Dubai, Bangkok and Vietnam with The Ascott Group. Her last position held was Director of Sales & Marketing, Indochina for Ascott International Management (Thailand) Limited.
Jacinta’s role at Delivering Asia entails new client development together with formulation of Sales, Marketing and distribution strategies for them to enter into the Delivering Asia network to develop their Asia market distribution. She will also be overseeing the Group’s two other divisions, “Hospitality Sales and Marketing Outsourcing/Solutions” and “Hospitality Sales & Marketing Executive Resources”.
Director of Sales – China
Joseph has over 20 years of hands-on experience in wide range of tourism & hospitality portfolios from destination marketing, business development/travel channel distribution, trade cooperative programs, media publicity/ advertising campaigns, consumer promotion to ground operations & management of regional offices in the Greater China region. He was previously stationed in Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu City since 1993.
Being the market pioneer & instrumental in establishing Singapore’s market visibility as a popular destination for Chinese visitors in the early part of Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) China office history, Joseph had established the 1st national-level tourism office for STB in Shanghai.
Joseph has extensive experience representing overseas tourism organizations and leading multinational travel/hospitality service providers, including the honour of being the first China trade representative for Australia Tourism NT, 1st sales director for Siam Express, Tour East Group, ITIS, Lac Hong Voyages Vietnam and Australia PINP as well as advisor of local PR/media agency/event companies ( MICE China, TTG, SPRG) on project assignments. Joseph has established a strong relationship with the local agents, airlines, tour wholesalers/retailers, MICE players, travel online agencies, media and related industry partners in China and HK industry. His strength is to assisting overseas clients to obtain successful market entry, establish a strong foothold and to achieve clients business strategic advantage in the China market..
In addition to Joseph’s vast knowledge of the China business partnerships, vendor relations as well as e-marketing programs, he possesses a Master degree from the National University of Singapore and a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison/USA respectively. He has also been accredited as Corporate Travel Expert (CTE) by the National Business Travel Association/USA in 2008 as well as completed the “Professional Association Executive Courses” awarded by – Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) and Australian Society of Association Executive (AuSAE) in 2010.
